The 36th Annual Meeting for the Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM) will be held October 18-22, 2014 in Miami, FL. The topic is Medical Decision Making Among Diverse Populations: Advancing Practice, Policy, and Science.
The Meeting will feature oral abstract and poster sessions for the presentation of original research as well as sessions and symposia to address issues pertaining to decision making in populations diverse in age, race, ethnicity, and region of the world.
On Monday, October 20th at 2:45pm EST, Chronic Disease Center Core Member, Dr. Monica Peek, along with Center Affiliate, Dr. David Meltzer, will be speaking in a symposium titled, “So a modeler, an economist, a shared decision making expert, and a pair of patient experts walk into a conference room...”
Following this presentations, Center Affiliate Michael O’Grady will be presenting at 5:30pm EST on the topic, “What Should the Role of CEA be in Health Policy and Medical Decision Making?”
