Kenneth S. Polonsky, MD, Dean and EVP for Medical Affairs and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin welcome Dr. Vivek Murthy, the 19th U.S. Surgeon General, to The University of Chicago for Grand Rounds on Wednesday, August 10th in P-117 from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m.
Dr. Murthy, along with several panelists, will address the American prescription drug crisis and efforts to combat the opioid crisis in Illinois.
The panelists are:
- U.S. Senator Dick Durbin
- David Dickerson, MD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesia & Critical Care
- Audrey Tanksley, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine
