An article posted on Monday, October 13, in Science Life comments on recent research that has shown that type 2 diabetes may be effectively cured through bariatric surgery.
In this article, Dr. Huang discusses the unwillingness of doctors to add or change medications for diabetes patients who are under good control. He suggests that there may be an opportunity for more patients to achieve “remission” in regular clinical settings if more doctors would be willing to take them off of some of their medications.
